How to Play Ludo – Easy Guide for Kids and Beginners
Ludo is one of the world’s most popular board games, loved by families and friends for generations! Whether you’re new to Ludo or want a quick refresher, this simple guide will show you how to set up, play, and win at Ludo.
What You Need:
• Ludo board with colored squares
• 1 dice
• 4 tokens (of the same color) for each player (2–4 players)
How to Start:
1. Each player picks a color and places their 4 tokens in the matching “home” area.
2. Players take turns rolling the dice. To move a token out of home, you need to roll a six.
3. When you roll a six, you get another turn!
How to Move:
• On your turn, roll the dice and move any one of your tokens forward the number of spaces shown.
• If you land on a square with an opponent’s token, send it back to their home! (You can’t land on your own tokens.)
Winning the Game:
• Move all four tokens in a full circle around the board and up your colored path to the center.
• The first player to get all their tokens to the center wins Ludo!
Pro Tips:
• Block opponents by landing on their tokens.
• You must roll the exact number to reach the center.
• Play smart—decide which token to move each turn!
